Hello!

 

 I'm Nikki, owner of Little yellow Boots Photography.

​

I have been photographing professionally for around 10 years in York, but I have a background in photography, art & design and graphic design dating back to 2006, starting in Cumbria where I grew up.

​

I am passionate about capturing priceless memories and natural moments, life is full of them and they are not to be forgotten. I also enjoy landscape, wildlife and botanic photography in my spare time. 

​

I am a lucky mother to four beautiful children, which has added to my experience and confidence in photographing children and families. I follow my children around weekly with my camera, catching their smiles, gazes, achievements and little moments that I don't want to forget, and it is always such a privilege to be able to give families this gift of imagery too.

​

My children spent their toddler and pre-school years exploring and playing together wearing their little yellow welly boots, and this is how Little Yellow Boots Photography was named, it is perfectly fitting for the different genres I photograph and has personal meaning behind it!

​

Along with photographing babies, children and families, I also photograph events such as christenings and weddings. I love to photograph sessions outdoors, making the most of all the beautiful locations in and around historic York, but I really enjoy working from my beautiful studio too, which is full of a wide variety of props that I have spent years collecting.

​

One of the best parts of photographing other families is being chosen to document their own moments, memories and milestones, as I have done within my own family. It is such a privilege to get to know my clients and their families, spend time with them and essentially watch their children grow -often from little newborn babies to older children and sometimes as big brothers and sisters as their family grows in numbers! Being able to create and capture these preserved memories is truly wonderful and I do feel very lucky to call this my job as well as my passion!
