Christmas Photoshoots in York are now available to book at Little Yellow Boots Photography!
Just when I think I can't top the previous years Christmas photoshoot ideas, I pull something even more festive out of the bag!
The long-awaited sessions are now available to book, and here is all the info you will need with some answers to your FAQ's.
2023 Backdrops -
*Christmas Kitchen Baking*
How gorgeous is this festive kitchen backdrop?! Complete with baking utensils for your child(ren) to enjoy role-play baking activities; mixing bowl and spoons, rolling pin, cookie cutters etc. And to bring the Christmas activities to life, they can enjoy decorating a delicious gingerbread person or cookie to take home and enjoy. Faux milk bottles complete the scene!
*Cosy Christmas Teepee*
This snuggly backdrop scene has such warm cosy vibes with a neutral palette that sprinkles Christmas across your images. This backdrop is perfect to capture you and your child(ren) as a family, with plenty of festive props to hold and play with, plus a magic box!
What age are the Christmas sessions aimed at?
-Children of all ages are welcome to come along, and provisions will be made for any babies who are not yet sitting or standing un-aided so they can join in too!
-Parents are very welcome to join in especially the Christmas Teepee backdrop scene, it's so cosy! Occasionally a child may only want to have photos taken if parents join in so be prepared with your own outfit.
Where are the sessions taking place?
-Christmas sessions will take place at my lovely studio in Acomb, equipped with everything we need for the photoshoots so you just need to turn up and enjoy the session!
When are the sessions taking place?
-November 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th.
If you cannot make one of these dates please get in contact as I may have a few weekday slots available.
What do I do if my child has an allergy regarding the biscuit decorating?
-If your child has a known allergy please notify me when booking a session, I can source free-from gingerbread biscuits/ cookies or you are more than welcome to bring along your own that you know are safe for your child to eat.
-I will ask that parents sign a food-consumption-consent form prior to the session to confirm they are happy for their child(ren) to eat the biscuits provided by me.
How long will the session last?
-Approximately 30-40 minutes long.
What clothing should we wear?
-Christmas jumpers are always great! Specific colours which work are; reds, dark greens, plum, gold, creamy neutrals, or earthy (beige, olive, brown). Please don't hesitate to get in touch prior to your session to discuss outfits if you are unsure what might work.
*Magical 'Waiting for Santa' window scene*
As always, I will be photographing these sessions either on their own (super-mini digital session) or as part of the full christmas sessions.
-Children are photographed against a large light source which produces soft diffused 'moonlight', whilst looking or pointing upwards, and during post-processing they are seamlessly professionally edited into this gorgeous nighttime window scene, capturing the magic of Christmas Eve where children look out the window to catch a glimpse of Santa flying his sleigh in the night sky.
-Christmas jumpers and the colours listed above work well for this scene, but also pyjamas as it is a nighttime scene.
How much are the sessions?
-The full Christmas sessions, which include photos taken on 'Christmas Kitchen Baking' and 'Cosy Christmas Teepee' plus an image taken to create the 'Waiting for Santa' window scene, cost £25 to book. This session fee is required at the time of booking to secure your chosen time slot.
Packages to choose from after viewing your images;
Twinkle - £100 - 4 images via digital download.
Glitter - £150 -8 images via digital download.
Sparkle - £185 - All of your images (10+) via digital download
- Three 8"x 6" luxury mounted printed images
- Six 5"x 7" loose printed images.
-If you would like JUST the super-mini digital 'Waiting for Santa' window scene, the session cost is £29 (due at the time of booking) and includes one finished image as a digital download.
These super-mini sessions last around 10 minutes, very short and sweet but we only need to capture that perfect image of your child(ren) looking or pointing upwards.
For little ones, it is a good idea to practice this at home before your session so they know what they will be doing.
