Welcome to my new website!
This has been in-the-making for years, something I've always meant to do but never really had the time to do it. Being a working mum is often hard and I'm constantly juggling things, and my children always come first. During the 2021 lockdown earlier this year I finally found the time to sit down and make this website happen, I hope you enjoy having a look round.
Now, photography is my passion, I absolutely love taking pictures, capturing moments and freezing them as pictures, so I LOVE that it is also my job! I see image opportunities all the time; I look at objects, buildings, little nooks, even doors and think 'that would make a great backdrop for a photo!' or 'this is a really unique natural prop that would look great to use'. I am constantly scouting out new places for outdoor photoshoots, often to photograph my own children at, and they're everywhere; down a little old alley, on a grass verge, a field in the middle of nowhere... the list is endless.
The below images will give you an insight into what you might see vs what I see. To you it probably just looks like a patch of wild flowers, overgrown grass and weeds, probably full of rabbit droppings and nowhere special at all. To me it looked beautiful, I was desperate to go there with my daughter at the start of a warm evening when the sun would be lower and giving off that warm glow just before it starts to set, because I just knew that I could bring this patch of daisies to life. And so I did... it had been a really warm sunny day and it was just starting to cloud over a little as I ate my dinner, thinking it will soon be time to get kids baths and bedtimes underway. I then realised it was the perfect time to go to this little patch which I had been eyeing up and driving past for a few weeks, so I quickly grabbed my camera and the first clean dress I could find for my daughter, brushed her hair and off we went, a short drive from our house. This location was a large verge at the side of a busy roundabout, not somewhere I would recommend for a client photoshoot but ok for just me and my daughter who I kept eyes on at all times and we were well away from the passing cars.

Below: What I see, image taken with my camera.
This image (and all the others I took) came out exactly how I wanted it to look, with a bit of hand-editing of course but not much. Capturing my little princess in the warm summer evening glow amongst the pretty daisies, the whole image makes you feel warm and happy!
I'm so proud of how far I've come in my photography journey and growing my small business, and I love nothing more than creating magic like this for my lovely customers, capturing little moments, memorable expressions, beautiful details and warm memories.
I hope you enjoyed my first blog post, let me know what you think!
Hi Nikki,
You’ve come a long way in your photography journey and your vision is fascinating to read.
It’s very interesting the way that you have transformed an otherwise mundane location and brought it to life, turning it into a beautiful setting to capture such a lovely image of your daughter.
I hope your business continues to grow and I wish you every success!
Love Dad xxx
You are very talented. I loved the two images showing what we see and what you see. It is a beautiful picture.
